HimeeHaunted House Road Trip - Part 1
Stardate 081026, Episode 17

HI! How are my fans? Good? SWEET! So this special Episode is all about the road trip that me and Pat went on. This wasn't some lame road trip, we went to Slinger, WI and went to the Hartford JayCee's haunted house. So you are probably asking "Why did you go there?" Well Silly Billy Gumdrops, it's because Ray said it was the best haunted house he'd ever been to. So if Ray says it good, I'm going. I also had also another reason for going. TO see if my powers would show themselves a little better if I was scared. So I packed an overnight bag, kissed my grandma goodbye and hit the road with my first mate Pat! SWEET!

Slinger is about three hours south east of Wisconsin Rapids and about a half hour north of Milwaukee, where Ray lives. Pat has the car doing 80mph down highway 54 which only has a speed limit of 55mph. I asked Pat to slow down, because we could get into an accident or even pulled over by the cops. He said "relax, if any of that was going to happen, you would have drempt it." I told him that I didn't dream it, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. My poers are still developing. Pat tells me everything will be alright. 40 minutes later we arrived at the Wisconsin Dells and boy are we hungry. The Wisconsin Dells is a summer tourist town and that means it gets pretty busy. This is October though, so it's more of a ghost town right now. The water slides, go-carts and duck rides are all closed til next summer. BUMMER. The arcades are open though! SWEET!

Me and Pat stop off at Paul Bunyons. This place is so cool. THey have a big wooden statue of Paul Bunyon out front and the resturaunt is one big log cabin. Inside you sit on wooden picknick tables and they even give you tin cups to drink out of. Our waiter asks us what we will have. I order waffles because I like them and because Hiro likes them too. I like that Hiro likes them. Pat says "Give me a double order of flap jacks and alot of coffee." Pat started drinking the small containers of creamer while we waited for our food. THe waitress brought Pat an entire pot of coffee and he starts drinking it right away. I asked Pat why he needs this much coffe so badly? He said "I don't know, I feel a little off, maybe a little sluggish." I asked Pat if he felt like something was changing inside of him. He said "Yeah, I felt good, now I feel like sh|+!" I told Pat the good news. He was gaining a power! You don't just wake up one day and feel like crap because you are sick, it's because something inside of you is changing. I know, it happened to me. Pat said "This is probably a delayed hang over, it'll pass once I eat." The waitress brought us our food and Pat said "Himee, it's 4 PM and we are about to eat breakfast. It doesn't get any better than this." I though to myself; it does get better Pat. You and I both have powers and we are going to help Hiro save the world! So we finished our breakfast, paid the bill and headed down the strip to find a good arcade so we could play some Dance Dance Revolution! and work off some of our breakfast, because we will need to be faster for the haunted house.

We arrived in Slinger at the Hartford Jay Cee's haunted house at around 7 PM thanks to Pat's expert driving skills and my superior navigation directions. THee haunted house open ed at 7 PM and there was already a huge line. Pat commented that this must be a pretty good haunted house if the line is already this big. Think of a line at Great America for the Batman ride on a weekend. That is how big this line was. Then the line went into a barn where you bought your tickets and refreshments while you waited to go. Pat bought two cans of Coke and asked me to help him slam one. I admit, I might be the fastest grape soda slammer in the world, but cold coca-cola goes down very hard and I choked a couple of times. Pat had to thump me on the back once or twice. When we finished the Coke, Pat pulled out a flask of whiskey and poured it into the empty can. Pat said "let the fun times begin!" and took a big gulp of whiskey. We eventually were assigned seats in the barn so we didn't have to stand all night long. I could see empty spider webs in the rafters and corners of the barn and all I could think was where the spider were now? I was a little creeped out, but the wait wasn't that long and it was our turn to go by 9:30 PM.

SO Pat and I had a pretty fun filled day so far and the night was just about to begin. In part two you will follow along with Pat, me and a few others as we make our way to the haunted house. You say "Himee, what do you mean make your way, don't you just walk in?" All I can say is no. Til the next issue, BYE!
