BSG: Season III

October 6th, 2006 was the big day the world was waiting for. This was the two hour premier of season III for Battlestar Galactica. I was ready and waiting with grape soda and twinkies on hand for the biggest event of the year. SWEET! I would have watched this with my best friend Pat, but he's been gone for almost two months. Pat called up that agent guy and went on a Tom Cruise look-a-like tour. Come back soon Pat, we miss you.

So season two ended with the cylons finding the humans one year after they settled on New Caprica and President Gaius Baltar surrendering to Cylon occupation. Bummer. Season three picks up about 4 1/2 months later with Colonel Tigh leading a human resistance group against the Cylons. I have read on various forum boards that people would like to see how the resistance was formed. Silly Billy Gumdrops, watch the webisodes on the BSG web site. There are ten episodes in all and they show how Tigh formed the resistance.

So Starbuck is being held prisoner by a sick-o cylon who believes he was sent by God to love and take care of her. Starbuck keeps killing him. So sick-o cylon introduces a little girl named Kaylee and tells Starbuck that she is her daughter. Something smells fishy and I'm not talking about Pats day old crab meat. I bet this little girl is just a new child cylon model. Nice try, but I know better. I've know my BSG.

I want to know what happened to Lee Adama. Why is he fat and chubby? Did he get fat by eating olives and not working out? I would prefer grape soda and twinkies! His dad, Admiral Adama calls him a fat ass. SWEET! Admiral Adama is so cool. He was mad for most of this episode, because his crew is pretty much useless. They keep screwing up the practice runs for his New Caprica rescue mission. Lee and him keep arguing about going back. Lee thinks it's a suicide mission. I got goose bumps when Admiral Adama looked his son in the eye and told him he was going back. SWEET!

On a sad note, I was shocked and saddened to see Number Six shot in the head by a fellow cylon when they forced Baltar to sign the death sentence forms. Why would you want to shoot a beautiful woman like that? She is an angel, why shoot angels? I would have jumped in front of the bullet. I can do that because of my SWEET! ninja skills.

The secret police round up all of the people on the death list, load them into trucks and drive out into the woods to execute them by cylon firing squad. Former President Laura Roslin and former Vice President Tom Zarek are among the prisoners. I know they'll make it out alive some how, I can't wait until the next episode!
