E3 2006: Pre-Trip Outlook
Stardate 060507, Episode 6
HI! You know who this is? It's me HIMEE!! Who else? Silly Billy Gumdrops? I like that name, Silly Billy Gumdrops, it makes me laugh and it's fun to say! Okay, I've been a busy bee this past week planning a trip. Pat and I are going to E3 in L.A. this week, SWEET!!! We're going to the video gaming event of the year. I'll be wearing my Boba Fett costume and trying out all the new cool games. Pat says he's going for free drinks and hopes to score with the booth babes. I hope the Nintendo Wii is playable, I want to hold that new controller because it looks SWEET!! I want to see the new Zelda game, I hope Link looks cool in this game, not like he did in the Wind Walker. I like cartoons, but Link deserves better, much better. He is a elf and elves deserve to look real. I may have to honor him and wear my Link costume to the show one day.
Pat and I both took a week of vacation so we could go to this super SWEET! show! Pat was rather excited about this and booked both of our tickets. He said not to worry, he has it under control. We are going to save some cash and stay with his cousin Samuel in San Diego which only about an hour and a half away from Los Angeles. Pat says he can make the trip in an hour. That's SWEET if you ask me. Pat says Samuel is a cool guy. E3 starts on May 9th, but it isn't open to the public until May 11th, the last two days of the show. Pat says we're going to Venice Beach for one day to work on our tans and watch chicks in bikinis roller blade. I told Pat he should cut his hair because it will be hot on the beach. He said no, longer hair makes you look like a surfer, and chicks dig surfers. Pat is rather smart at times. Pat also wants to go to Chinatown to see if he can learn some Karate and maybe find a herbal solution for a hang-over. Silly Pat, Karate is Japanese, not Chinese. I should tell him before he offends anyone and gets beat up. I guess Pat is going to get us across the boarder into Tijuana too. He says it's the best place to party on Tequila. Okay, I guess I could get a non-alcoholic margarita.
So back to E3. I'm super excited because this is my first E3. I'm getting me a big bag and collecting as much swag as possible. Papers, pamphlets, shirts, stickers, frisbees, mugs, demo games, cd's, dvd's and more. I want it all. I really want to try the Nintendo Wii, it looks so SWEET! The controller is pretty cool because it looks like a tv remote, but it's also motion sensitive. I look forward to swinging it like a sword or lightsaber. I could put on my Jedi robes and be like Obi-Wan Kenobi and use the force to save the day. That would be so sweet. I want to see how the online option of downloading old games is going to work. I'd love to play Ice Climber again, hint hint Nintendo. Ice Climber was so SWEET! but my game quit working about two years ago. Bummer. I hope to see some new Nintendo DS games too... like New Super Mario Brothers. I saw a video of the game and it looked really, really cool. SWEET! I can't wait to get that game and go to McDonalds and beat all the kids through the Wi-Fi play option. I played a 9 year old in a game of Metroid Prime: Hunters for his apple pie the other day. I'm the Nintendo DS Wi-Fi Mcdonalds Champ in Wisconsin Rapids. That pie was good.
I'll be back this coming weekend. I plan on taking my grandma's camera to get plenty of pictures and maybe post them here if I can... I'll have to see what Ray and Kevin say. When I get back I'll write all about my adventure and share my thoughts about E3 2006. I have to go to bed now, me and Pat have an early flight out of Wausau in the morning. BYE!
