HimeeMy 35th Easter!
Stardate 060418, Episode 4

HI! It's me, HIMEE!!! Well my 35th Easter has come and gone. As always, I'm a little sad to see it go, but I'm already looking forward to next Easter. So, do you want to hear about my Easter? I sure am eager to tell you about it. Where to begin...

Okay, every year my grandma gives me a big Easter basket filled with lots of candy and then sends me off on a Easter egg hunt. This year my grandma pulled a fast one on me. She hid my Easter basket and Easter eggs, she said it was time to make me work for it. My grandpa laughed and said it was about time I worked for something... whatever that means. So I set off to find my basket and eggs. I looked all over. Under the bed, under the table, in the closets, in the garage, in the yard and in the shed. I even checked the toilet because my grandpa put my Easter eggs in there once. After 45 minutes I gave up, because it never takes me that long to find the goodies. Yes, my grandma beat me this year. I'm so BUMMED! :( The magic hiding spot this year was my very own refrigerator in the basement. I don't know how my grandma snuck down there with out me knowing about it.

So while I was eating one of my chocolate bunnies my grandpa suggested I call up Pat and invite him over for Easter. SWEET! My grandpa likes Pat for some reason, I guess you could call them drinking buddies. So I called up Pat and told him to come over for the day and stay for dinner. I figure it's the least I can do since his family disowned him. What are friends for? I also call up Ray and Kevin to see if they want to come over and eat some easter eggs. Kevin didn't answer and Ray said he was busy because his apartment was on fire. BUMMER! A few minutes later Pat arrived with a big cooler of beer and said "Look what the Easter bunny left me!" My grandpa rubbed his hands together and told him to bring it on over to the bar. My grandma said she had to get a start on the dinner and went to the kitchen. I put The Chronicles of Narnia in the DVD player and sat down to watch. I asked grandpa and Pat if they wanted to watch, but they were to busy playing cards and drinking shots at the bar.

Halfway through the movie my grandpa and Pat came into the living room. Grandpa turned off my movie and turned on WWE Wrestling. This really FRACKED! me off, so I argued with him to turn my movie back on. Pat was rooting for the Undertaker to win his match. "Put him the casket Undertaker, PUT HIM IN THE CASKET!" Pat likes the Undertaker. I finally go tell my grandma. She tells grandpa that Easter is all about family, so the TV should be playing family programming. He refused to watch The Chronicles of Narnia, so I picked Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. My grandpa and Pat talk through most of the movie, but I don't care. Why you ask? Well because I'm watching the love of my life, Hermione Granger. I love Hermione and I want to marry her. I can't think of a better way to spend my Easter than with her. I could just melt away. Towards the end of the movie Pat jumps up and does his best impression of Lord Voldemort. He grabs the fire poker and swings it wildly while slurring "KEDARVA AHvavaAVADAHH!" and then fell down. My grandpa laughed really loud at this. I didn't. Pat will never be a dark wizard if he keeps saying the killing curse wrong. It's Avada Kedavra.

Grandma serves dinner at 5PM and boy am I hungry. I help myself to some ham and pineapple, mashed potatoes and gravy, yams, more Easter eggs and some hot rolls. I butter my rolls with the lamb shaped butter, yeah that's pretty SWEET! I also have a big glass of NesQuik Strawberry milk, because this is Easter and the rabbits deserve their due, especially the NesQuik Strawberry Rabbit. Pat helped himself to a little of everything and then he reached down next to his chair, pulled up a big bag of crab meat and sprinkled it all over the top of his plate. Grandma slaps grandpa's hand because he tries to eat before we say grace. I thought it was funny so I laughed. Grandma starts off by saying she is thankful for her family and loved ones. Next is Pat who says he is thankful for beer because it is helps him get through the day. Grandpa says he is thankful for grandma and Pat, the grandson he never had. I say welcome to the family and I'm thankful for grandpa adopting Pat, now we are brothers. YAY! My grandpa laughed really hard at that. Pat cracked open a beer and drank to that.

So, my 35th Easter. Just as good as the rest, even though my grandma beat me when it came time to find my Easter basket. I hope you enjoyed reading about it as much as I enjoyed writing about. Well I hear my grandma calling me, it's time for bed and she is going to tuck me it. GOOD NIGHT!!!
